Mark is a highly experienced, qualified and motivated teaching professional who has a passion for modern pedagogy and a vast amount of performing and teaching experience. He offers both face-to-face piano lessons in Leeds as well as Skype piano lessons online and over FaceTime.

He originally taught himself to play the piano at the age of 7 which lead to him the opportunity to perform a piano concerto in France at the age of 14. During this time he won a number of awards for music before continuing his studies at Leeds College of Music at the age of 17. During this time he won an opportunity to represent the conservatoire as part of the Leeds International Concert Season before furthering his studies by obtaining a Masters from Leeds University.

Mark currently has over 50 one-to-one students at home, in additional to the 13 individual students he teaches at Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate in York, England. He is experienced in teaching students ranging from complete beginners, up to and beyond diploma level.

Mark is fully DBS checked, insured and qualified to teach; his qualifications include a Masters in Music Performance, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Studies and Grade 8 Piano.

When time permits, Mark also gives solo recitals as a classical pianist in venues such as Wakefield Cathedral, The Venue (as part of the Leeds International Concert Season), The Clothworkers’ Centenary Concert Hall and many other locations as a wedding pianist.
